
Having gained a trendy business degree - Systems & Management - in the
mid 1970s, Gerwyn kick-started a career in marketing in the car industry.
Following some seven years with the safe and reliable Volvo cars he accelerated
into the much racier role of marketing communications at BMW. Then in 1989 old college mate and former Halogen director, Steve Bryson, persuaded him to ditch the cars and set up Black & White Communications (which merged with Cadenza Communications in 2001 to form Halogen)
Gerwyn has led numerous marketing and PR campaigns for blue-chip companies, helping to build reputations and add value to their commercial property developments. His understanding of marketing and his experience of a wide range of communication skills means he can deliver tangible results across all areas of the property ‘product life-cycle’ from planning PR through to consumer marketing
Like any Director spare time is limited, but he does find the time to play golf (handicap 18) and two cartilage operations and torn cruciate ligaments are testament to his skiing prowess (?). He also squeezes in some thespian activities and can be seen in a number of guises in his village’s productions
