Halogen marches on with Trinity Walk

Halogen has been appointed by Sovereign Land to handle PR and marketing for the 500,000 sq ft Trinity Walk shopping centre in Wakefield

Contractors got back on track this month (January) after more than six months in which the city centre site has stood half built - and now Halogen will deliver comprehensive B2B and B2C campaigns to publicise the development. An innovative partnership comprising Sovereign Land, AREA Property Partners and Shepherd Construction rescued the scheme from administrators in December 2009. The development is now set to transform Wakefield's shopping offer when it opens in Spring 2011, with a list of tenants that includes Debenhams, Sainsbury's, Next, New Look, H&M, Peacocks and River Island

Construction of the scheme originally started in 2007, but was halted in early 2009 when the then developer Modus went into administration. The partnership will now deliver one of only a handful of scheme scheduled to open in 2011

Gerwyn James, Director at Halogen, said: "Halogen is actively supporting two of the three major retail-led schemes to be delivered in 2011 - Trinity Walk and Parkway in Newbury. This appointment reinforces Halogen's market leading position and we look forward to working with the Trinity Walk team to make this development a great success."
