Halogen promotes motoring magic in Connaught Village

A great day was had by all at the 2009 Connaught Village Spring Festival held in central London on 14 May. Once again Halogen masterminded a successful media and PR support campaign on behalf of landlord The Church Commissioners for England resulting in a record turn out

The Festival, now in its third year, was hosted by Tiff Needell - former motor racing driver and presenter of Channel 5’s Fifth Gear - and showcased an exciting line up of classic, racing and super cars

In the run up to the Festival, Halogen secured coverage in local and London-wide consumer media including an interview on Smooth FM with Tiff on the morning of the event. Halogen also co-ordinated press attendance on the day - including local and trade publications - ensuring successful editorial coverage in the wake of the Festival

Kelly Bradshaw, Account Director at Halogen, commented: “Our strategy was to target local press and London-based entertainment magazines in order to drive local residents, families, as well as tourists and visitors to the event on the day”

Rob Lines of the Church Commissioners comments: “I was delighted with the publicity for the Connaught Village Spring Festival, there were many more people in attendance this year - the event is going from strength
to strength”

Halogen is retained to raise awareness of Connaught Village as a high-end retail destination. The Village, which is located at the heart of the Hyde Park Estate, is a short walk from Oxford Street. It boasts a fantastic selection of independent shops, restaurants and cafes including: Pyjama Room, Jimmy Choo Couture, WearDowney, Cocomaya and Trenta
