Halogen appointed to Europe’s largest retail & leisure scheme at Puerto Venecia in Zaragoza, Spain
Halogen continues to expand its European activities bringing the skills it has successfully developed in the UK to an increasing number of new international markets
Puerto Venecia is being developed by Eurofund Investments Zaragoza S.L, a joint venture by British Land and a private investors consortium. The 206,000 sq m project features a fashion mall including a 40,000 sq m El Corte Ingles Department store, leisure, adventure and sports area, and a retail park anchored by Spain’s largest IKEA, all serviced over 10,000 parking spaces
Zaragoza, which hosts this year’s EXPO, is Spain’s fastest growing city and is attracting massive inward investment. Halogen’s task is to develop and co-ordinate the marketing communication to maximise the potential of this ground-breaking project
As a regional centre for Aragon, Puerto Venecia will draw from its wealthy catchment of over 2 million people who will be attracted by its unrivalled retail choice and leisure, sports, adventure and catering. The scheme will open in Spring 2010
