Halogen retains British retail property organisation BCSC

Halogen Ltd, the UK’s leading property PR and marketing consultancy, has successfully retained retail property organisation BCSC as a client in a three-way pitch

Halogen, which was up against agencies FD Tamesis and Weber Shandwick, has worked with BCSC – formerly the British Council of Shopping Centres - for over eight years

Linda Welch, Halogen director and co-founder said: “We are delighted that we are continuing working with BCSC during 2008, its 25th anniversary year

“With 2,600 members drawn from all parts of the retail property sector, BCSC is at the heart of shaping – and re-shaping – towns and cities across the UK. Retail-led regeneration has a key role to play in maintaining the health of the UK economy in difficult times ahead. BCSC is leading the way in a whole range of issues from environmental sustainability and community engagement via physical and economic regeneration to education and social renewal

“Our challenge is to continue to communicate the important role that retail property plays in these areas to a wider audience. We will also continue to provide media relations support to BCSC at its high—profile Annual Conference and other key events in the calendar from the Purple Apple Marketing Awards to the Shopping Centre Management Conference”

The Halogen team, led by Linda Welch, will report to BCSC Communications Manager, Rachel Frankel and BCSC Chief Executive, Michael Green
